Terms of Service

1. The service

showyouknowme (“the service”) generates research briefs about prospective business contacts by searching publicly available web sources and summarizing what it finds, with links to those sources. The service is currently offered as an open beta.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the service. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Access may be revoked if these terms are violated.

3. Acceptable use

• Use briefs for legitimate business outreach and research only, never for harassment, stalking, discrimination, or any unlawful purpose.
• Comply with the laws that apply to you and your outreach, including anti-spam and data-protection laws in your jurisdiction.
• Don't attempt to overload, reverse-engineer, resell, or programmatically scrape the service beyond the interfaces we provide.
• What you do with a brief is your own responsibility: once you use the personal data in one — in outreach, a CRM push, or an export — you are an independent controller of that data under data-protection law. Honor opt-outs, keep it only as long as you need it, and don't resell it or compile it into a database product.

4. Accuracy (read this one)

Briefs are assembled by AI from public web sources. We work hard to make them trustworthy (every claim carries a source link and a confidence rating, and an independent pass checks for wrong-person matches), but mistakes are possible, including claims about the wrong person who shares a name. Briefs are provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy or completeness. Verify anything important against the linked source before acting on it.

5. Billing

The free plan requires no payment method. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe at the price shown on the pricing page, and can be cancelled at any time; you keep access through the period already paid. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise — cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding past ones, and a goodwill refund, if we ever issue one, is a one-off, not a precedent. One-time credit packs are likewise non-refundable once the credits are granted (they never expire, and unused subscription time is unaffected). We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes never apply retroactively.

6. Your data

Your account data, saved products, and research history belong to you. So we can run the service, you grant us the limited rights needed to do what you ask of it — store your history, run the research you request, and send the notifications you turn on. That is the whole scope: we don't use your data to train AI models, and we don't sell it. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete any brief from its page, and delete your whole account (subscription, data, and login) yourself from Settings, effective immediately.

7. Warranty & liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”; to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the same extent, the service's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of outreach you send.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. The product itself will evolve too — features may be added, changed, or retired; if a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll give advance notice. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Operator, governing law & contact

showyouknowme is operated by Show You Know Me LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, 8735 Dunwoody Place, Ste N, Atlanta, GA 30350. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
